Rainy day date ideas in Barcelona

Rain in Barcelona is rare enough that nobody plans for it. When it comes, go somewhere that gives you something to talk about: an exhibition, an Art Nouveau hospital, or a covered market where you can graze instead of sitting across a table.

Good indoor date habits

  • Pick something you'll both have an opinion on. An exhibition is an instant conversation starter.
  • Keep a café nearby in mind for afterwards, to talk about what you saw.
  • If you book tickets, book them for both of you: it avoids the awkward queue.
